Hello from Lititz, Pennsylvania.
I have lived here in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania most of my life.
From Day One I have been uber-involved in Pennsylvania history, antiques, and architecture.
My ancestors were Mennonites since the early 17th century. I have spent a lifetime (and then some) researching the history, culture, and decorative arts of my Mennonite heritage.
For 20 years I have been a board director of the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society.
I am also on the board of directors of the Historical Preservation Trust of Lancaster County, and the Heritage Center of Lancaster County.
I have also been a trustee of the Associates of Landis Valley Museum.
I restored my circa 1744 Hess ancestral homestead near Lititz, Pennsylvania, where I collect and research Pennsylvania German antiques.
I am a partner in his family's homebuilding business, Hess Home Builders, in Neffsville, Pennsylvania.
P.S. Lots of thanks to Lee Jay Stoltzfus for helping with technical and editorial stuff with this site. (Lee is lots geekier than I am, and that's a good thing.)
