Folk Artist Clarence Kulp on Exhibit at Muddy Creek Library

"His paintings have been likened to that of America’s most famous folk artist, Grandma Moses. Kulp painted with a straight-on view that did not rely on perspective techniques, and his work is also notable for its vivid colors — not because he wanted the colors’ strong statements, but more likely because he was color blind and needed noticeable contrasts to assist his composition."
