"Winterthur presents "Paint, Pattern & People: Furniture of Southeastern Pennsylvania, 1725–1850," from April 2 through January 8. This exhibition explores the colorful furniture of southeastern Pennsylvania along with the people who made, owned, inherited and collected it."

Obituary: Moravian Historian & Architect John Heyl

"He did more than just restore buildings; he kept their stories alive. He led dozens of local tours and gave countless speeches in his time, and in 1958 he co-wrote the book 'Pennsylvania German Barns,' published by the Pennsylvania German Folklore Society.

A New Building at the Joseph Schneider Haus

"The original wash house was discovered during an archeological dig on the property in 1984 while reconstructing the Schneider Creek culvert, unearthing the foundation, corner brick hearth and floor boards."

"The new wash house is being constructed with reclaimed wood logs and stone, based on the structures found on site, on family records and the expertise of a contractor specializing in log construction."
